Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: September 2, 2026

Estate & Elder Law Counsel, P.A. wants every person, including people with disabilities, to be able to read this website, reach us through it, and use it with the tools they rely on. Many of the families we serve include an older adult or a person with a disability, so this is part of how we practice, not a formality.

The standard we follow

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice and the courts use when they evaluate a website under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

In September 2026 every page of the site, in English and in Spanish, was tested with automated accessibility tools and then checked by hand with a keyboard alone and with a screen reader. Every issue found in that review was corrected. We re-check the site at least once a year and after any redesign.

What we have done

  • Text and controls meet the required contrast against their background, including the gold accents on white.
  • Everything on the site works with a keyboard alone, and a visible focus ring shows where you are. A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content.
  • Menus, buttons, forms and the receptionist panel carry names and states that screen readers announce correctly. Form errors are announced and explained.
  • Every image has a text description. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • The two scrolling strips have pause buttons, and the site honors your device's reduce-motion setting.
  • The Spanish site is a full mirror of the English site and is marked as Spanish so screen readers use the right pronunciation.
  • You can reach us by phone, by form, by email, or by talking or typing with our virtual receptionist, whichever works best for you.

Third-party content

Some content comes from other providers: the Google map on our contact page, our payment portal, our Super Lawyers profile, and the PDF versions of our guides. We choose providers that support accessibility, and every guide is also published as a regular web page on this site, which is the recommended way to read it.

If something is not working for you

If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you would like any of our content in another format, please tell us. Let us know which page you were on and what happened, and we will fix it or provide the information another way. We aim to respond within two business days.

We speak English and Spanish, and we are glad to help by phone if that is easier than the website.
